Arched TV Stand
Gone are the giant eyesore televisions of the 80's and 90's and so too are the need for the monolithic entertainment centers that were built to house them. Today's flatscreen TV sets are sleek with no need to hide them in a huge cabinet, so they demand a different kind of furniture to display them.
The idea behind this desgin was to create a piece that would hold the TV and its necessary components while creating a lot of negative space underneath it and making the room that it is in look bigger in the process.
This stand is made out of sapele with curly maple accents and is sitting underneath a 46" TV in the first picture above. You can see the piece that it replaced in the last picture. This one in particular is 40" high and 16" deep but the size can easily be customized.
